Joe Jackson, the father of late King of Pop Michael Jackson, has invested in a $2 billion, five-star 1,000-room hotel and amusement park in Vietnam.

Jackson, 82, was in Vietnam last week to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for this multi-use complex called “Happy Land,” according to VietNamNet.

I like discovering different cultures in the world, Jackson said. I like this project the most because it is located in a beautiful cultural and natural space.

Located in the Ben Luc District of southern Long An province, the development is just twenty minutes away from Ho Chi Minh City. Designed by Steelman Partners of Las Vegas, the 15 hectacre complex is said to have reserved $600 million out of the total $2 billion investment fund.

Expected to be the largest of its kind in the region, the theme park is scheduled to be finished in 2014 and receive around 14 million tourists annually.
