"The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" music producer Giovanni Cianci has been fired from the program after a musician accused him of sexual misconduct, a report said.

Paige Stark, a singer and drummer for Los Angeles-based band Tashaki Miyaki, has accused Cianci of sexual harassment and attempted sexual assault. She said that the incident occurred at the 2010 CMJ Music Marathon, a music festival that takes place in various venues across New York City, Variety reported.

"Gio is no longer employed by the show," an insider with knowledge of the situation told the outlet.

Stark first went public with her allegations against Cianci, a music booker associated with “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” since 2017, through an Instagram post on July 22.

Stark said that Cianci was working for Lookout Management at the time, and he allegedly made several advances toward her when they were alone in an elevator. He attempted to kiss her and pinned her up against a wall when she tried to resist his advances.

Cianci’s harassment did not stop even after they got out of the elevator, Stark said.

"He followed me and my band mate to a nearby bar and kept touching me and being in my personal space," Stark wrote on her Instagram. "I felt so unsafe I had to call another manager I knew- a man to come to physically remove Gio. Later I heard more stories about Gio."

Cianci continued to "harass" her through social media platforms such as Facebook and text messages, Stark claimed, adding that she was too scared to go public with her allegations at the time.

However, she had emailed Cianci’s former boss at Lookout in 2017, in the midst of the #MeToo movement, and received no reply. Cianci was employed by Lookout from 2002 through 2014.

Stark said she came forward with her story in a bid to prevent Cianci from abusing his power in the future.

"As I am reading the stories of other survivors of harassment and assault I feel concerned Gio has probably hurt other women, and will again," she wrote. "His abuse of power was so great when he was an assistant at Lookout management, it makes me shudder to think what he is now capable of in his position as music producer for the @colbertlateshow."

An insider said lawyers from ViacomCBS reached out to Stark for her account soon after she made the post about Cianci.
