  • More details about the rumored "Elden Ring" DLC were uncovered
  • Aside from previous details, more information was unearthed following Update 1.07
  • "Elden Ring" could see more post-launch content, especially since the game is well-received by fans

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco are still mum about details regarding the heavily speculated "Elden Ring" DLC, but if the latest datamined information is accurate, it looks like fans are in for a lot of fun as it suggests that the potential downloadable content could feature 30 reserved slots which could be for DLC bosses.

The latest information about the highly anticipated "Elden RIng" DLC came from the dataminer who goes by the Twitter handle sekirodubi. The dataminer uncovered that FromSoftware left out room for 30 flags presumably for DLC purposes.

"So... in the section where boss flags are declared they left out room for 30 flags for DLC purposes. So, I'm not saying the DLCs are going to add 30 new bosses, but they made room for as many of those," the dataminer said in a tweet. The dataminer's theory toys with the possibility that the unused 30 codes are probably reserved for DLC bosses.

This is because these are assigned to the loot that bosses drop when they are killed in-game. In the screenshot, a sequence of names of major bosses with ID numbers ranging from 9100 to 9135 was shown. After 9180, the ID numbers are related to item drops by minor bosses like the Marais Executioner's Sword or the Loretta's Greatbow.

"These events initialize flags & loot for killing bosses. They reserved the slots from 9140 to 9169 for DLC. As you can see there's even unused boss flags for stuff that was probably cut, like 9102 a boss in Stormveil, or 9124," the dataminer shared in another tweet, alongside a screenshot.

They also cautioned that 30 reserved slots do not guarantee the number of bosses that the developers planned to feature in the "Elden Ring'' DLC. "It's not a hard cap, they can literally add similar flags like these wherever they please," the dataminer said. "They just reserved 30 flag IDs for DLC boss stuff, they could also add bosses that don't require those flags."

Other information uncovered in the latest Update 1.07 includes "new hair , six new (unnamed) weapon categories & new AI goals" and "new legacy dungeon related map files , new Colosseum map files suggesting gauntlet type addition , map changes made at most divine towers."

It is worth noting that in the absence of a confirmation from the game developer, these details, while interesting, are not official. Fans should temper their expectations about the "Elden RIng" DLC and take this datamined details as highly speculative at this stage.

"Elden RIng" was officially released on February 2022.
