The latest information about the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini came from industry insider Jon Prosser. In a recent tweet, the tipster spilled the important dates concerning the upcoming iPhone 12 models. According to him, the first shipment for distributors would be on October 5.
This particular shipment would reportedly include the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini available in 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB storage capacity. Along with the iPhone 12 Mini is the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 with the same memory capacity availability. Prosser also claimed that these iPhone 12 models would launch on October 13.

The insider’s information is unofficial and unconfirmed and it is best to take it with a pinch of salt for now. Earlier reports suggested that the new iPhone 12 will feature OLED displays and house Apple’s A14 Bionic chipsets. The new flagship series is also anticipated to feature 5G support, although some believe that only the iPhone 12 Pro Max would support the mmWave 5G frequency.
For the camera configuration, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will reportedly sport a couple of sensors at the back consist of a camera and an ultrawide camera. The higher tier iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature three rear cameras with the extra sensor for telephoto and a new LiDar depth sensor at least present in the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Despite the countless leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming flagship iPhone 12 series, Apple remains mum. The company only confirmed that the launch of this year’s iPhone would be delayed.
