Latest Leaked Image Suggests New Apple AirPods Pro Now In The Works

A pair of leaked images have just surfaced late Friday on the website SlashLeaks. The latest images are believed to be a charging case for the rumored next-generation AirPods Pro product.
Based on the images posted at leak depository website SlashLeaks, the two images show what appears to be two halves of a squat, partially disassembled charging case. The photos showed some holes and large housing that are likely meant to hold earphone stems for charging. These holes are believed to be the same size and shape to the openings found in the current Apple AirPods charging cases. The charging case is likely to come from a legitimate plastic casing supplier as there are no markings or internal components found in the leaked images. But the most exciting part of the leaked images is the Apple's signature markings, "Designed in California" and "Assembled in China," found just below the charging case.
The Cupertino-based company is reportedly planning to launch a new AirPods Pro product sometime in October. According to the unnamed sources, which claimed to know the company’s supply chain, the upcoming earbuds will feature the same noise-canceling technology that Apple used in their recently released Beats Solo Pro headphone product.
This is not the first time that the tech world has seen leaked images of the rumored AirPods product. Recently, a leaked image of what could be an "AirPods Pro" was found by developers in recent iOS 13.2 beta release. The leaked images include an icon depicting a heretofore unknown AirPods design and bears an uncanny resemblance to so-called "AirPods 3" images that were posted on SlashLeaks website in September. Also, the image of the charging case aligns with the shell seen in today's leaked images.
Is Apple working on two models?
Renowned tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo was first to mention a word about Apple’s upcoming new AirPods Pro product. The tech analyst claimed that the tech giant is working on two new models, not just one. The first product is rumored to launch by the end of 2019, and the second one will be introduced in the first few months of 2020.
AirPods Pro might use the same technology as the Beats Solo Pro and AirPods 2
For starter, Beats Solo Pro is Apple’s first Beats on-ear headphone to feature active noise cancellation technology and also the first Beats headphone to charge via Lightning technology. Beats Solo Pro uses the company’s Pure Adaptive Noise Cancelling technology and the new Apple H1 chip, which is the same chip found in the second-generation AirPods. Apple’s H1 chip allows easy pairing with Apple’s iOS-powered device, like the iPhone and more, and more stable wireless connection. The H1 chip also the driving engine behind the device’s advanced sound processing and noise cancellation technology. Apple will likely use the same technology used found in Beats headphones and AirPods 2, but of course, with some minor tweaks. Another expected significant feature addition is the support for Apple's Siri technology.
Additionally, Apple might also use the new Audio Sharing feature that was used in the previous AirPods 2 and Beats Solo Pro headphones. This new feature will allow Apple device users to pair two headphones simultaneously to any Apple device running a version of iOS 13. The idea is to enable the user to listen to the exact same music or watch the same exact video simultaneously, alongside another Apple user.
