Laureate Penthouse Sells For $11.55 Million
A penthouse at the Laureate, a luxury condo building in Manhattan's Upper West Side, has sold for $11.55 million, according to city records filed Thursday.
The buyer was 6C Laureate LLC, represented by law firm Phillips Nizer LLP. The seller was the Stahl Organization, developer of the 20-story tower. Shlomi Reuveni of Brown Harris Stevens Select was the listing broker.
The unit, #PH6C, is 4,172 square feet, with seven bedrooms and six-and-a-half bedrooms, according to its listing. Amenities include a 30-foot great room and 488-square-foot terrace. It had an asking price of $11.6 million, or $2,782 per square foot.
The Laureate was designed by SLCE Architects to echo the prewar residential projects in the neighborhood, with a granite and limestone facade. Deborah Berke and Partners designed the interiors. Sales began in 2011, and the 71-unit building was 85 percent sold in February 2012. Two of the building's penthouse units, #PH4C and #PH5C, are on the market for a combined $23.25 million.
