Lauren Bush Weds David Lauren in Victorian-Style Gown
Lauren Bush dazzled her stunning surroundings at Ralph Lauren's ranch this weekend, as she married the fashion designer's son in an intricately embroidered Victorian-style gown.
Lauren Bush, the niece of former president George W.Bush ,married Ralph Lauren's son, David Lauren, on Sunday in what was an intimate but intricately glamorous Western Style wedding, on Ralph Lauren's 17,000 acre ranch on the rocky mountains in Colorado.
Model, designer and philanthropist, Lauren Bush, 27, made an entrance on a horse and carriage, in a dress designed by her father-in-law. A guest at the wedding told the International Business Times that the lace and elegance of the dress were simply stunning. Another guest told the New York Post that it was one of Ralph's most iconic designs.
David Lauren, 39, wore a vintage Lincoln era-inspired tuxedo, while guests were in western- themed black tie wearing cowboy hats, boots, buckles and lassos.
The ceremony was conducted by Cantor Angela Buchahl of Manhattan's Central Synagogue and later guests were ushered to a barn for a reception and entertainment. Although the wedding took place on Sunday the celebrations were carried out over the entire weekend with entertainment and activities at the ranch. These including Hiking, yoga and rodeos.
Among the 200 guests were former president George. W Bush, wife Laura and daughters Jenna and Barbara. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and well as Ralph Lauren's family. Lauren Bush's grandparents were unable to attend the wedding as a result of the altitude.
Lauren has decided not to become Lauren Lauren, but instead will be Lauren Bush Lauren. She told Harper's Magazine in April that it was nice to have your husband's name and she was sort of old-fashioned in that way.
