‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Ice-T Admits Obsession Over Daughter Chanel’s Pictures
Over the years, Ice-T has portrayed several roles, both in his career and personal life. With the arrival of his daughter Chanel, the rapper and actor admitted that he displayed the same behavior as other doting fathers where they proudly showed off their children.
Ice-T made the revelation in an interview with People magazine during the “An Evening with Dick Wolf” event that was held at the 33rd Annual PaleyFest on Saturday. The “Law & Order: SVU” star shared that he has been taking numerous photos of his and Coco Austin’s nearly five-month-old baby Chanel.
“I’m taking a lot of pictures. I’m that same guy that you go, ‘Oh, my daughter..’ and before I know it I’m showing you pictures. I said that I’m not going to be that guy,” he stated.
He continued that he “can’t help” but act that way since he wanted to share his happiness over baby Chanel to everyone. Chanel is Ice-T and Coco Austin’s first daughter. However, fatherhood is nothing new with the rapper. He already has two children from previous relationships, a 23-year-old son named Tracy Marrow Jr. and another daughter, 39-year-old Letesha Marrow.
Despite being a father for the third time, Ice-T shared with People magazine that he has gained a sense of “clarity” given Chanel’s arrival. He recounted that he was “concentrating on survival” when his two children were growing up. He explained that his children came during a time when he was just starting out in the industry. He even described his journey at that time as the “middle of the wilderness of becoming Ice-T.”
Meanwhile, since Chanel’s birth, the proud parents Ice-T and Coco have posted several photos of their daughter on Instagram. The most recent was made by Coco who posted a cute photo of Chanel wearing a bedazzled and colorful headpiece and a flowery baby top. She captioned the image, “I love the fact Chanel let's me dress her up in whatever & she's just goes with it.. I could also stare in her eyes forever.”
Coco gave birth to her and Ice-T's daughter Chanel on Nov. 28, 2015.
