Lea Michele Steals Souvenir From 'Glee' Set To Remember Cory Monteith [PHOTO]
“Glee” star Lea Michele was sure to take a momento from the set when the Fox comedy finished filming. Yet Michele didn’t show her Twitter followers anything of her character Rachel Berry’s that she kept. After tweeting throughout her final day at work, Michele finally posted a picture with Cory Monteith’s character's football jersey.
The framed jersey belonging to Finn was hung in the locker room on set after Monteith’s death. Football was a large part of Finn’s storyline, and the tribute episode after his death was titled “The Quarterback.”
Michele was dating Monteith in real life when he died in July 2013 from a drug overdose. “Glee” chose to leave Finn’s death unexplained.
The actress has tweeted plenty of emotional messages throughout the last week of filming “Glee” Season 6.
It seems Michele managed to have some fun between all the touching sentiments and sad goodbyes. Paramount threw a carnival for the “Glee” cast and crew, which Michele attended with Jonathan Groff, her co-star and best friend.
Groff is set to return to the show as Jesse St. James and is rumored to be Rachel’s new love interest. As viewers know, Rachel started dating for the first time since Finn's death when she asked out Sam (Chord Overstreet) earlier in Season 6.
“Glee” airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
