'League of Legends': New Champion And Skin Sale Released

It's that time again. Riot Games has once again slashed prices on several "League of Legends" champions and skins. The latest "League of Legends" champion and skin sale runs from today and ends Monday, August 5. Are your favorites among those that now have more appealing pricetags? Here is a rundown of the latest price cuts on "League of Legends" champions.

Syndra, the AP mage, will cost 487 RP. Malzahar, who is also an AP mage, will see his price fall to 440 RP. Malphite, the fighter/tank, will be the cheapest champ of the bunch with a pricetag of 292 RP.

Our take: All of these are solid champions. Both Syndra and Malzahar can deal a ton of damage as well as harass enemy champions from afar. Meanwhile, Malphite can take a lot of punishment, has a slowing ability and his ultimate spell can absolutely turn the tide in your favor during a teamfight.

Of the three champions that Riot Games is putting on sale, we think Malphite will be the champion that will be the most popular. While Malzahar and Syndra are fine champions, Malphite is often banned in many "League of Legends" matches. Why? Simply put, his ultimate allows him to wreck a game by himself. He's also the cheapest champion of the three, making him a very good value as well.

Nemesis Jax, 487 RP

Defender Leona, 375 RP

Galactic Nasus, 260 RP

Our take: Considering Leona's popularity as a durable support champion with substantial crowd controlling abilities, we suspect that Defender Leona will be the most sought-after skin of the above three "League of Legends" skins. In terms of visual appeal, none of these skins jump out at us, but we like the spikes on Jax's weapon as well as the blue jewel on Nasus' chest. Bling bling.
