'League Of Legends' New Champion Teaser: Is Bird Person Coming To The Rift?
Yesterday was April Fools’ Day, but today I feel like Riot is messing with me. Early Sunday morning, the League Of Legends Facebook page got a new image, something nobody has seen before. There’s an orange glow inside an angelic orb, with open wings ready for an embrace. It’s unclear what this new image is teasing: could it be a new skin, a champion or maybe even an unexpected champion rework?
A leaked post earlier this week on the League Of Legends subreddit, talked about a bunch of new skins that are coming to the game, alongside two new champions. “The Harpy and the Phoenix,” according to the leak, will be a duo but you can play one without the other. One is a marksman like Quinn, while the other is a support. I’m a bit skeptical, since this leak also claims we are getting an “Omegasquad Veigar” skin, but I’d love to be proven wrong.
Here are some other things this image could be teasing as well:
Kayle Visual Update or Rework: The angel with an impenetrable ultimate hasn’t changed much since she was released in the game’s beta, and her model is showing some serious aging. Riot Meddler who works on the Champion Update team, said that the Urgot VU will be coming after Galio’s, so it seems unlikely.
Quinn Skin: This is the one I’m betting on the most, the outline looks very feathery. I’d love an Arclight Quinn skin, where she shoots bolts of light and turns into a soaring light bird.
- New Champion: The Harpy will most likely not be League’s next hero, but that doesn't mean it couldn’t be something else. A hero with wings to fly and hands to shoot, I think that would be a perfect fit for Summoner’s Rift.
