Leah Messer To Return For 'Teen Mom 2' Season 6 Amid Jeremy Calvert Cheating Rumors: Report
“Teen Mom 2” fans are in for a big surprise if the latest rumor is true: Leah Messer is reportedly returning to the MTV reality show that made her and her family famous, Ashley's Reality Roundup reported Tuesday. The West Virginia native, 22, tweeted nearly a month ago that she would not appear on the latest installment of “TM2,” but there was a major factor that allegedly changed her mind -- money.
It was originally rumored she did not want to do another season because her purported drug problems could put her at risk of losing 4-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah to ex-husband Corey Simms, Radar Online wrote. She was also accused of cheating on husband Jeremy Calvert, and if they were going to get a divorce she reportedly didn’t want it to "play out" on television the way it did with Simms, Us Weekly wrote. But Ashley’s Reality Roundup said in an exclusive report that Messer decided to sign on simply -- or sadly -- because she needs cash.
The site claimed Messer signed a contract to appear in Season 6 a week ago so that the MTV cameras will begin to document her life once more. Footage is already being shot for her “TM2” cast mates Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry.
Calvert has remained quiet about Messer allegedly signing on for another season. In fact, he deleted his Twitter account even before rumors swirled that Messer reached out to his alleged mistress Brittany Musick.
After Messer posted a cheeky tweet about people “seeking attention,” Musick supposedly fired back, “Since people think I’m ‘seeking attention’ I guess I’ll just go along with it. This should be fun.” Musick’s Twitter account is private, but Radar Online provided screenshots of the alleged messages.
Even though it seems like things are getting catty between the two ladies, a source told Radar Online Messer just wanted to say she's sorry for her husband’s alleged behavior. “Leah direct-messaged Brittany on Twitter to talk about the situation,” the insider said. “She actually apologized for Jeremy’s behavior.”
The airdate for Season 6 of MTV's “Teen Mom 2” is unknown at the moment. Last season, the show aired Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST.
