  • Fans will also be able to purchase “Learn! Korean With BTS” in the form of books
  • It was first launched as a series of episodes which aired through Weverse

BTS’ Korean home label Big Hit Entertainment's independent educational company named Big Hit Edu along with the Korea Foundation, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies will be working together to launch "Learn Korean with BTS" in various universities aboard. The goal is to promote Korean language studies across the world.

The "Learn Korean with BTS" program was first launched as a series of episodes that aired through Weverse from March 24 and aimed towards teaching basic Korean to their audience by using videos of BTS members and their variety shows. However, this has now been modified further and in addition to videos, fans will also be able to purchase it in the form of books starting from August 24.

A number of universities including the Middlebury College of the United States, EDHEC Business School and École Normale Supérieure (ENS) of France, Ain Shams University of Egypt, and more will be utilizing the "Learn! KOREAN with BTS" program and books in their Korean language courses, according to a report on Soompi.

“KF and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies are all partners who have high understanding of our content, so we’re anticipating that we’ll be able to create even greater synergy in the future," said Choi Young Nam, the CEO of Big Hit Edu.

Music knows no boundaries and utilizing popular content like that of BTS will help people understand Korean music, artists and culture better.

Unsurprisingly, BTS being one of the biggest music sensations in history, has also gained huge popularity in the United States with their iconic concepts, insane vocals, and powerful choreographies over the years. In 2019, they successfully broke the record for having three different albums rank #1 on Billboard 200 within a year for the first time in the past 55 years. This record was previously set by the Beatles between December 1995 to November 1996.

The K-pop group has successfully held tours and concerts numerous times in the U.S. and has also appeared on various American shows including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with James Corden, and more.

BTS will also be performing at the VMAs for the first time ever on August 30 and have been nominated in three categories - "Best Pop Video", "Best K-Pop Video" and "Best Choreography".
