LeBron James minor league bashing: Replica ring, MVP, chocking courses
LeBron James has been bashed in the media for his poor basetkball play, quitting on the Cavs, quitting on the Heat in the fourth quarter, post-game pouting, and now the Miami Heat's star player is being based by Chicago Cubs minor league affiliate Peoria Chiefs.
The Peoria Chiefs have launched a promotion for fans to get their very own replica of LeBron James' championship ring that doesn't actually exist.
That's right, the replica rings are none other than air that will be handed out to fans entering the park.
According to a spokesman for the Chicago-based Chiefs will also seek to honor the true champions Chicago Bulls. Though the Bulls were eliminated by the Heat in the NBA Easter Conference finals this year, the celebration will be for the six NBA titles that Michael Jordan's Bulls teams won.
Not wanting to stop there, the Chiefs also said they will attempt to skip the fourth inning in honor of LeBron James' fourth quarter disappearances in the NBA Finals.
We aren't sure if the league will allow it, Peoria president Rocky Vonachen said. But if LeBron doesn't need to show up for the fourth, maybe we won't either.
One fan will also get a chance to win a replica LeBron James Finals MVP award that was won by Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki.
Finally, in order to help people chocking in a big situation, Heimlich maneuver courses will be taught at the park.
No word yet, on a LeBron James non-appearance at the game.
