Lebron James' Receding Hairline Has Nothing on Supermodel Naomi Campbell's Balding Edges [PHOTOS]
It looks like NBA Star Lebron James is not the only celebrity suffering from a receding hairline.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell showed the damage that weaves and hair extensions can do as she vacationed in Ibiza earlier this week.
The Daily Mail posted shocking photos that clearly show part of Campbell's scalp. This is not the first time Campbell has been in the news, not for her amazing physique, but for her disappearing hair. The Daily Mail also showed pictures of her frightening hair loss two years ago while she was posing for a photo shoot in New York.
It is no secret that the 42-year-old supermodel, originally from Streatham, South London has worn hair extensions and weaves for most of her modeling career.
Experts say that Campbell suffers from traction alopecia-hair loss that can occur from constant pulling on the follicles. According to Bauman Medical Group, this type of hair loss is common amongst ethnicities who wear tight braids, those who use hair extensions over a long period of time, and attach wigs or weaves with glue or clips and is irreparable.
"It is unclear from the pictures if Naomi's condition is permanent but given the time that has passed since she was first spotted with this condition it is more than likely that the damage she has suffered is permanent," celebrity hair extensions expert Tatiana Karelina told the Daily Mail.
Celebrities including Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham and Paris Hilton have all reportedly suffered from beginning to advanced stages of traction alopecia, and there is speculation that Kim Kardashian's hairline is receding due to similar pressure from hair extensions and tight ponytails, reports WMC-TV, the NBC-affiliated television station for the Memphis.
Even with her shocking bald patches, Naomi Campbell is still able to snag a boyfriend. She was on vacation with Vladislav Doronin, a Russian billionaire she has been with since 2008.
