'The Leftovers' Season 2 Finale Spoilers: Episode 10 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'I Live Here Now'? [VIDEO]
So, Evie (Jasmin Savoy Brown) is alive, Meg (Liv Tyler) is behind her disappearance, and "The Leftovers" is going to sort this all out in just one more episode. Season 2 of the HBO series has spent much of the season teasing fans with the possibility of another Sudden Departure, so episode 9's cliffhanger discovery of a clearly-still-here Evie shakes things up. "It doesn't matter," Evie wrote to Tom (Chris Zylka) of her identity when he stumbled upon the missing girl in Meg's secret trailer on the Guilty Remnant compound. We beg to differ. It certainly does matter. In fact, it will be the focal point of much drama in the Season 2 finale, "I Live Here Now."
According to the synopsis for episode 10, Kevin (Justin Theroux) confesses his possible involvement in Evie's disappearance to her always-agitated father, John (Kevin Carroll). It is not like he has much of a choice. Fans will remember that in episode 7, a desperate Kevin showed up at the fire station looking for help getting out of Nora's (Carrie Coon) handcuffs and ended up being pressured into submitting to John's town-wide fingerprint registry. After that, it was only a matter of time before John discovered that Kevin's prints and the ones found on Evie's car are a match. However, the reveal that Meg has Evie would seem to, at least partly, absolve Kevin of any wrongdoing.
Speaking of Meg, the rogue Guilty Remnant leader is in town and that means there is reason to worry about the fourth anniversary of the Sudden Departure on Oct. 14. She has something big planned to prove that there is nothing special about Miracle and Evie and the missing girls factor in somehow. The promo for the episode teases some serious chaos on the bridge. Meg appears to drive her car through the barricade and is seen laying on the ground afterwards in handcuffs. Plus, something has John and Erika (Regina King) pretty upset and odds are it has something to do with their daughter.
Also of note in the promo, Nora is back and Mary is looking awfully cognizant around the 15-second mark of the teaser. Whatever is going down in Miracle seems like it will affect everyone.
