'The Leftovers' Spoilers: Episode 2 Preview And What's Next In 'Penguin One, Us Zero' [VIDEO]
"The Leftovers" season premiere left fans with plenty of questions surrounding the Sudden Departure, the Guilty Remnant, Kevin Garvey's emotional state and the town of Mapleton. In "The Leftovers" episode 2 preview, fans get a glimpse of life after the disappearance of 140 million people and some interesting developments regarding Wayne and the Guilty Remnant.
According to "The Leftovers" episode 2 synopsis, "In the wake of a series of disturbing encounters, Kevin pays a visit to a therapist. Tom finds himself in a precarious situation with Christine, a favorite of Wayne’s. A frustrated Meg is asked to part with pieces of her past. Jill and Aimee tail Nora Durst, who became a local celebrity when her entire family disappeared in the Departure."
In the "Penguin One, Us Zero" preview, Garvey asks an older man, "When did it start?" and it looks like the chief of police will continue to have a difficult time in Mapleton. Garvey is seen asking the mayor if she stole his bagel and also has a meeting with Meg at the Guilty Remnant pledge house. Meg's recruitment into the group is being overseen by Laurie, Garvey's wife, but Patti, the leader of the group, has some concerns over Meg's commitment to becoming a Guilty Remnant member.
Based on the preview, fans can expect to learn a little more about the Guilty Remnant as well as Wayne's mission. Currently, little is known about the man other than that he is believed to possess healing powers. Garvey's son, Tom, is smitten with one of Wayne's girls, Christine, and it looks like she will be in trouble in "Penguin One, Us Zero." Another focal point of the trailer is Nora Durst, the woman who lost her entire family in the Sudden Departure.
