'Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 2, Episode 5 Trailer Teases Reverse-Flash, Damien Darhk And Obsidian’s Return [SPOILERS]
The trailer for next week’s episode of “Legends of Tomorrow” confirms the return of Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).
In the preview clip for Season 2, episode 5, entitled “Compromised,” Eobard — also known as the Reverse-Flash — saves Damien from a gun-wielding man who is about to shoot his back. This is the second time the villainous speedster saved Damien since the start of the season. Eobard first saved Damien’s life at the end of the Season 2 premiere where he was revealed to be the latter’s partner in crime.
As seen in the trailer, the team travels back to the '80s after tracing a timequake to the White House. According to the synopsis for the episode, the Legends infiltrate President Ronald Reagan’s official residence only to find out that their old enemy Damien is now a senior adviser to Reagan. While it’s unclear what he and Eobard are up to, the Legends finally figure out that the speedster was the one who killed Rex Tyler (Patrick J. Adams).
Thinking that her fellow Justice Society of America (JSA) members could be of help to stop whatever Damien and Eobard are planning, Amaya Jiwe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) — together with Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) — breaks into the JSA headquarters.
In the trailer, Amaya meets Obsidian. But since they are in the '80s, the Obsidian (Lance Henriksen) she encounters in the episode is an older version of the character she knows from 1940s.
The episode also marks the return of Dr. Martin Stein’s younger self (Graeme McComb) who Stein (Victor Garber) needs to stop from creating an even bigger time aberration.
Stein’s younger self first appeared in Season 1, episode2. In the episode, Stein, Jax Jefferson (Franz Drameh) and Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) looked for the young Stein in 1975 and stole a device he invented to locate a missing piece of Ray’s (Brandon Routh) exosuit.
“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 5 airs on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
