‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 2 Spoilers: The Team Falls Into Legion Of Doom’s Trap In Episode 8
It looks like the Legion of Doom is one step ahead of the Legends.
According to the synopsis for Season 2, episode 8 of “Legends of Tomorrow,” the team flies straight to 1927 Chicago after detecting a new time aberration. The Legends, however, quickly realize that they have just been tricked by Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Legion of Doom’s newest member, Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). While it’s unclear why the trio lures the Legends to 1927 Chicago, the baddies’ objective definitely has something to do with stopping the new generation of time police from interfering with their selfish plans to change history.
Also in episode 8, titled “The Chicago Way,” Jax (Franz Drameh) tries to convince Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the rest of the team. In Season 2, episode 6, titled “Outlaw Country,” Stein started to have visions of a woman he has never met before. Although the mystery lady is a complete stranger to him, Stein surprisingly confessed to Jax that he’s in love with her. Stein and Jax then came up with a theory that the latter inadvertently altered his past when he interacted with his younger self in 1987, causing massive changes in his memories.
As if Stein’s temporal dissonance isn’t interesting enough, the physicist is also taken captive in episode 8, and Sara (Caity Lotz) must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein.
Rory (Dominic Purcell) also gets an unexpected visitor in the episode, and the Heat Gun-wielding Legend is not sure how to handle it. Although the episode summary doesn’t specify who this visitor is, executive producer Marc Guggenheim said during a press event last month that Rory’s late partner, Snart (Wentworth Miller), is returning in the episode, so it won’t be a big surprise if he ends up being Rory’s unexpected guest.
“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 8, which is the show’s midseason finale, airs on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
