‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 2 Spoilers: Team Saves Jonah Hex From Being Hanged In Episode 6 Trailer

The team returns to the Wild West in next week’s episode of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

In the trailer for Season 2, episode 6, titled “Outlaw Country,” the Legends arrive in 1874 just in time to save their old friend, Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech), from being hanged. The team soon discovers that Hex is in trouble with his archnemesis, Quentin Turnbull (Jeff Fahey), who wants to conquer the West and brand it his own lawless territory. This is probably the time aberration that the Legends need to fix, so Sara (Caity Lotz) offers Hex the team’s help to prevent Turnball from invading the West.

“We need to stop Turnball from taking over the West,” Sara tells Hex in the preview clip, who is surprised that the former assassin is now the one in charge of the team.

According to the synopsis for the episode, Sara assigns Nate (Nick Zano), Ray (Brandon Routh) and Jax (Franz Drameh) to infiltrate Turnbull’s gang. But when the three find themselves in the middle of a shootout, Nate’s self-confidence is shaken. Rory, meanwhile, is thrilled to be in the Wild West, so to make sure that the Heat Gun-wielding character is still on task, Sara decides to pair him with Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers).

Schaech made his series debut as Hex in Season 1, episode 11, titled “The Magnificent Seven.” His performance in the freshman run of the series was lauded by critics and fans alike, so his return this season isn’t really a big surprise.

“He’s terrific. Johnathon is an amazing Jonah Hex,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Den of Geek in April. “I would say [that it’s] very, very faithful to the comics’ incarnation with a touch [of] more sass, a little bit more attitude.”
