'Legends Of Tomorrow' Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis Teases The Team Will Crash A Secret Criminal Meeting
After its action-packed premiere episode last week, the CW will finally close out the second half of its two-part “Legends of Tomorrow” pilot Thursday. The episode will see the newly formed team of heroes and villains finally confront their principal villain when they chase him back in time to the 1970s.
After agreeing to help Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) on his quest to stop the immortal Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) from taking over the world, the team will track him down to a meeting of criminals he once hosted in 1975. However, things quickly go awry for the group of superheroes, consisting of Atom (Brandon Routh), Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee).
“The team battles Vandal Savage, the Atom’s suit falls off and lands in the wrong hands. Stein realizes the best way to retrieve it is by contacting his younger self,” the official TV Guide plot synopsis reads. “Meanwhile, Snart and Rory plan to steal a key element in defeating Savage; and Carter helps Kendra remember something vital.”
It looks like each of the superheroes will have their very own important thing to do when it comes to stopping Savage this time, but their personal adventures are only half of the excitement coming in episode 2. As previously reported, the show will feature yet another crossover with “Arrow.” Because the “Legends” crew is traveling back in time, they’ll bump into Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), the man who has been terrorizing Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the rest of the Star City vigilantes in 2016. However, the actor previously told ComicBook that his character is a bit less of a kingpin in 1975, so it’s unclear exactly what effect, if any, he’ll have on the “Legends” team.
With future technology running amuck, two notorious criminals embarking on the heist of a lifetime, a genius tracking down his younger self and two immortals unlocking past memories, there’s certainly a lot on the group’s plate in part 2 of the series’ pilot. Fans will have to wait until it airs on the CW Thursday at 8 p.m. EST to see if the gang can come together and overcome its new threat.
