Zari will see Gideon in the flesh in an upcoming episode of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

In the newly released promo photos for Season 3, episode 11 of the CW series, Zari (Tala Ashe) is seen interacting with Gideon (Amy Pemberton), who appears in her human form.

During a press visit to the set of the show last November, Pemberton said (via ComicBook.com) that Gideon manifests herself before Zari to “help her figure out where she fits in with the team,” noting that the hour “is very much about Zari and her learning her place within the team.”

According to the synopsis for the installment, Zari, right after the team returns from a mission, finds herself trapped in a time loop that results in the Waverider blowing up over and over again. Zari soon starts to suspect that the answer to stop what’s happening probably lies hidden among her fellow teammates’ secrets. As she investigates them, she begins to understand what exactly her place on the team is.

While the team’s mission before Zari finds herself trapped in a time loop is unclear, promo photos for the hour suggest that the Legends have just travelled back to the 1970s. As seen in some of the pics, Sara (Caity Lotz), Ray (Brandon Routh), Nate (Nick Zano), and Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) are rocking ‘70s outfits.

“I was a little bit worried because I have a very strong Bee Gees look going, with a part down the middle and fluffy hair…. And I had platforms on for the first time, so I was about 6-4 or 6-7 in those,” Routh told reporters during a press visit to the set. “But seeing everyone else dressed up helps. If I was the only one dressed that way, I would feel really silly.”

Unfortunately, viewers won’t see Mick (Dominic Rory) sporting some ‘70s fashion. “Nick and Brandon lost out,” Purcell said. “I mean, they’re wearing the full disco [with] high-heeled boots, scarves, the tight, white leather pants, and I’m just like, ‘No way I’m wearing that.’ So I got good. I got lucky.”

Though some of the Legends wear ‘70s garb in the episode, it seems like the whole installment is only set inside the Waverider. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last November, executive producer Phil Klemmer revealed that they allotted a lot of money to this season’s crossover that they ended up producing episode 11 as a no-time-period episode. “We blow through our production money and then some with our crossover, so [it’s a] infamous bottle [episode], which always turns out to be great,” Klemmer said. “It’s also driven by, ‘How can we do it all on our standing sets for as cheaply as possible?’”

Klemmer’s fellow executive producer Marc Guggenheim added that the installment is similar to “Star Trek: The Next Generation’s” “Cause and Effect” hour. “It’s our ‘Groundhog Day’ episode,” he said.

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 3, episode 11, titled “Here I Go Again,” airs on Monday, Feb 19 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
