Leslie Jones Wants To Star In ‘Deadpool 2’ Opposite Ryan Reynolds? ‘SNL’ Actress Reveals Her Wish List
Everybody wants to play a superhero. Even “Ghostbusters” actress Leslie Jones.
The former “Saturday Night Live” actress appeared in a New Year’s Eve Special episode on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and revealed that she wants to star in “Deadpool 2,” the sequel to the R-rated superhero movie that starred Ryan Reynolds.
Jones first made sure to praise Reynolds and his handsome looks. “First of all, Ryan Reynolds has got to be one of the finest pieces of specimens. [His wife] Blake [Lively] you are so lucky. But Blake is bad too, so you know what I’m saying like.”
The 49-year-old comedian then said, “I wonder if they compare their badness to each other like baby I’m hotter than you today.” However, she also said that Reynolds is hilarious.
Jones said that she would love to play Deadpool’s sidekick. She told Meyers, “I would love to be just the sidekick just feeding him back the lines.”
When Meyers asked if she would want a superpower, the “SNL” actress replied that she wants to be loud. Similar to the mutant known as Banshee in “X-Men: First Class,” Jones wants to scream. But rather than inflict pain on people with her sonic boom, the comedian wants her power to take people’s clothes off.
Jones wished her fans a happy new year and shared a photo of her while shooting the special on Twitter. She thanked Ralph Lauren for dressing her for the episode. She also tweeted that she is addicted to reality TV show “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.”
Recently, a rumor claimed that Deadpool would be in a post-credit scene in the upcoming X-Men movie “Logan.” However, Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and the director of the film have discredited the report.
“Deadpool 2” releases on March 2, 2018.
