Levi Johnston's Baby With Sunny Oglesby Named Beretta; Says Palins Keep Tripp From Him
Levi Johnston became a dad again early Wednesday morning with the birth of Breeze Beretta Johnston, according to TMZ. The baby girl was born at 5:28 a.m. in Wasilla, Alaska, and measured in at 15 ounces, 19 inches. Johnston is best known for fathering his first child with Bristol Palin, Tripp, who was born in 2008.
TMZ reported earlier this year that he and his current girlfriend, named Sunny Oglesby, didn't plan on having a child, but he told the gossip site, "Things happen and we are both happy with what came of it."
"Sunny and I are looking forward to raising the baby together and maybe eventually getting married or something," Johnston said to TMZ. He also claimed he hadn't seen Tripp in more a month, blaming the lack of contact on a Palin scheme to keep him out of Tripp's life.
"I'm actually in love," Johnston told People back in May, "not doing it just because we had a kid together."
He also said his relationship with Oglesby is stronger than his relationship with Bristol Palin. The couple told Inside Edition they named baby Beretta after the Italian handgun.
Johnston was most recently in the news for telling ABC News that he wanted custody of Tripp after the toddler was shown on Palin's reality TV show using a certain "f-word." Johnston has posed for Playgirl in the past and wrote a "tell-all" book about the Palins.
Johnston was considered a liability during Sarah Palin's vice-presidential campaign since he got Bristol pregnant out of wedlock, despite Palin's so-called family values political platform. Johnston often joined the Palins onstage during Republican events in 2008, seemingly on the way to officially becoming part of the family.
