LG G5 Rumors Suggest Radical Design; Metal Unibody, Dual Camera and Dual Display Expected
LG will be present at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 event that will be held on Feb. 21 in the next month. It is heavily pegged to unveil the LG G5 flagship smartphone at the MWC 2016 event.
A tipster has revealed the details on the design of the LG G5 smartphone to CNet Korea. The publication has revealed that the purported smartphone will be coming with a full-metal design. It will not be sporting rounded or curved design that are available on the predecessor models. It is expected to arrive with a flat and slim construction along with rounded edges, Phone Arena reported.
The volume controllers will not be present on the rear side of the LG G5. It has been repositioned to the left edge of the smartphone. The power button is also placed on the left side of the device. The rear side of the smartphone will only feature the camera and a fingerprint sensor. One of the astonishing features of the metal-clad LG G5 is that it will arrive with a removable battery.
After brainstorming for a long time on how to include a removable battery in the LG G5, the engineers of the South Korean company have come up with a new mechanism. The LG G5 will be coming with a removable bottom bezel that will allow users to easily remove the battery. The drawer-like mechanism will also be able to prevent water and dust from seeping inside.
The LG G Flex and LG G Flex 2 were launched with curved design whereas the LG G4 also came with a curved design along with genuine leather back panels. However, both the smartphones did not receive good reception in 2015.
In the last quarter LG had released the LG V10 smartphone with full-metallic design with a unique secondary display placed above the main screen. However, the smartphone is still struggling to gain good popularity. Now, the LG G5 is rumored to arrive with an innovative design.
According to Android Authority, the rumored specs of LG G5 include 5.3-inch Quad display and Snapdragon 820 chipset. It also expected to feature a secondary ticker screen like the one available on the LG V10. It is also likely to sport a dual camera setup for its 16-megapixel camera.
