Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus Twitter Dump: Why He Doesn’t Seem To Care
Miley Cyrus made a bold move over the weekend when she unfollowed on Twitter her fiance Liam Hemsworth, star of “The Hunger Games.” Apparently not as petty as the 20-year-old Cyrus, Hemsworth continues to follow his supposed fiancee on the microblogging site even as he recently went to Las Vegas to have a good time with some of his friends amid the social-media drama in his relationship.
The Australian actor was reportedly in “good spirits” at the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Canelo Alvarez boxing match in Vegas on Saturday night, E News reported. A source said the 23-year-old star went with buddy Jeff Beacher and other guy pals to a prematch event related to the Showtime pay-per-view presentation of “The One: Mayweather Vs. Canelo.” The celebrity-news site added that Ashley Greene of “The Twilight Saga” also attended the bash.
“He seemed really chill and in good spirits,” the source told E News. “He was just hanging out with his friends. It was a guys’ weekend in Vegas.” The hunky actor stayed for only 30 minutes, but while he was there he bobbed his head to a Ne-Yo song that came on, sipped on a Corona and even posed for some pictures with fans, the site said.
But his fun didn’t stop there. Hemsworth had a good time at the fight, too, the source said, even though the “Wrecking Ball” singer unfollowed him on Twitter earlier in the day, a passive-aggressive move that has had everyone talking.
Some believe she might have done the Twitter dump because of rumors revolving around her fiance and “Mad Men” actress January Jones. Hemsworth has been accused of sexting Jones, but one of his representatives said it’s “tabloid fiction,” according to E News.
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is set to hit theaters on Nov. 22.
