‘The Librarians’: Rebecca Romijn Teases ‘Softer Eve Baird’ For Rest Of Season

Ahead of this week’s “The Librarians” Season 4, episode 9, actress Rebecca Romijn dropped by KTLA 5 Morning News to talk about the TNT fantasy-adventure series. During the interview, the 45-year-old admitted that something is different about her character, Eve Baird, this season.

“Eve Baird … she’s the softer side of Eve Baird this season,” Romijn said when asked by entertainment reporter Sam Rubin on why her character has gotten somehow emotional in Season 4. The talk show then played a snippet from the upcoming episode showing how Baird has become less aggressive in her approach to solving mysteries.

Since the sneak peek featured a scene wherein Baird, Jacob Stone (Christian Kane) and Ezekiel Jones (John Kim) are haunted by ghosts, Romijn was also asked during the interview if she believes in the supernatural. “We come up against the supernatural in almost every single episode, so now it’s sort of just part of the course,” she said before confessing that she’s “not much of a believer in ghosts.”

Earlier in the interview, Romijn gushes about her co-stars and their family-like bond on the set of “The Librarians.” “I think it’s a really fun group of people … It’s a real family vibe and we just have so much fun working … We don’t take ourselves seriously. We are [a] very unpretentious show,” she said.

This week’s episode, titled “…And the Town Called Feud,” will follow the Librarians to a strange town called “Feud” that celebrates a 100-year-old battle through a yearly Civil War reenactment. Unfortunately, this year’s festivity is plagued by ghosts who can’t seem to move on from what has transpired a century ago.

The first promo clip for “The Librarians” Season 4, episode 9 shows Eve, Jacob and Ezekiel doing some investigation on the participation of the supernatural in the annual reenactment. The second teaser, on the other hand, shows Jacob and Ezekiel aiming guns at each other. Could this be a hint that the ghosts will take over the two Librarians’ bodies and make them engage in a physical fight? Tune in to tonight’s installment to find out.
