Lil’ Kim Plastic Surgery Rumors 2016: Iggy Azalea Supports Rapper Amid Fake Picture Controversy
Lil’ Kim lashed out on Twitter after Photoshopped pictures of her surfaced online. The photos were originally taken Dec. 12 at Boom Bash in Philadelphia, but the altered images went viral this week. They showed her with a larger derriere and fuller hips.
The rapper, 41, took to her official account Thursday to address the phony images. She posted side-by-side images -- one of the real picture and one she said was fake -- and said, “The hate is so real.”
“You bloggers should be ashamed of yourself for promoting this foolishness knowing that this is SO fake just like all of you haters,” she said. “But I got a good idea where this is coming from. What's in the dark always comes into the light. Carry on.”
For her final message, Lil’ Kim shared a picture of her backside and wrote, “Since you guys love my behind sooo much, here it is kiss it!!! #staytuned.”
She also received support from an unlikely source -- Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. The “Fancy” star, who admitted to getting plastic surgery on her face and chest, came to Lil Kim’s defense Friday. She tweeted at the New York rapper: “Let them know boo!!” Kim shared the response with her 1.44 million followers.
It’s not the first time Kim has been trolled online. Her appearance has drastically changed over the past decade, with some cruelly accusing her of looking more like a lioness than her old self. Though it might seem obvious to many that she must have had plastic surgery, Lil’ has denied ever going under the knife.
In March 2013, she denied the cosmetic surgery rumors through her rep, C.J. Carter. "We would like to inform fans, the media, and the general public that this is nothing more than a blog site doing its best to conjure up much-needed publicity," Carter said in a statement, via E! News. "What better way to do so, than to take an American music icon and create a fictitious platform in which to disrespect and humiliate. We at Team Lil' Kim are not taking this lying down and are taking this very seriously.”
