After an embarrassing "Saturday Night Live" moment, Lil Nas X says he is now a fan of skirts.

The 22-year-old singer appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Monday wearing a skirt and recalled the embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on the latest episode of "SNL." He said it wasn't a publicity stunt.

"I'm pretty much going down the pole, doing my little sexy drop down and boom! I feel air," Nas X told host Jimmy Fallon. "I'm like 'OK, there's definitely a breeze going on.' And I also felt some popping still happening while I was down there."

"You know what the worst part is? At the end of the performance, the dancers are supposed to touch me and tug on me and they were tugging on the pants," he added. "I was like, 'Please God, no.'"

The two-time Grammy winner also took to Twitter on Tuesday and posted images from the show in which he donned a white jacket with a red checked skirt.

Later, he requoted his own tweet and captioned, "Stop asking me why i'm wearing a skirt, i will never trust pants again!"

One of the fans blamed the "Satan" for the wardrobe malfunction and commented, "@LilNasX said 'Not today, Satan, not today!'"

Another fan wrote, "Just be comfortable with whatever is your body. In Indonesia men wear this everyday, yours is the shorter version."

One Twitter user noted, "You're wearing a skirt because you want to. Don't understand why that concept is so hard for some folks to grasp."

Over the weekend, the singer also shared a video where he spoke about the wardrobe malfunction.

The singer suffered a wardrobe malfunction during his "SNL" debut performance when he accidentally ripped his pants. Nas X was performing his popular song "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" on a stripper pole. He was praised by his fans for continuing the performance despite the embarrassing moment.

The singer publicly announced that he is gay during the last day of Pride Month in 2019.
