Rapper Lil Uzi Vert, whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods, started using they and them personal pronouns over the weekend on Instagram.

The pronoun change comes following the Philadelphia rapper's change in clothing style, which has included dresses. The pronoun change also may represent their official coming out as “genderless.”

Woods, 26, made the change over the weekend, with followers quickly noticing. Other social media sites also caught the change.

Woods, whose debut album was released in 2017, has not made direct comments about the change but did post a tweet Sunday that hinted about responding to “they.”

Fellow rapper Yeat tweeted, “Yo they,” and Woods responded, “Yo yeat.”

In 2018, Woods spoke about wearing gender-fluid clothing in an interview. “I bought everything in the men's section. There's nothing else to buy, I bought everything, literally," Woods said.
