Lili Reinhart Says Filming Intimate Scenes With Cole Sprouse Is ‘Very Comfortable’

Lili Reinhart has no qualms filming intimate scenes with Cole Sprouse in The CW’s “Riverdale.” After all, the co-stars have gotten close within the past two seasons.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the actress said that she doesn’t have any problems with kissing Sprouse on the lips if it is what’s needed for their characters as Betty and Jughead. “We don’t really think twice about it. When new characters have to kiss, it’s a little different and you’re like, ‘Oh OK! What’s this?’ But it’s easy, we’re all friends,” she said.

Reinhart also said that kissing the co-stars she’s worked with since Season 1 is not weird. However, it will be if she would have to kiss someone onscreen that she barely knows.

When asked to comment on her and Sprouse’s chemistry and relationship on and off screen, Reinhart simply said, “We get along quite well. We’re doing good.”

A few months ago, reports swirled that Reinhart and Sprouse are a real-life couple. A source told E! News in July that Reinhart and Sprouse couldn’t get their hands off each other while at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con. Another insider claimed that the co-stars seemed comfortable with showing their affection even in public.

People also reported around the same time that Reinhart and Sprouse were spotted kissing each other at Entertainment Weekly’s party in San Diego. However, the rumored couple has not yet confirmed or denied the real status of their relationship since then.

But before their sighting, Sprouse told MTV News in April that he and Reinhart is strictly in the friend zone. “Lili and I play characters who are dating, so just about any time she and I go out into the wilderness, it’s ‘Oh, my God!’ But truthfully, I’m a sucker for friends, fashion and framing,” he said after photos of Reinhart were uploaded on his Instagram feed.

In August, they once again sparked dating rumors after Reinhart penned a touching tribute to Sprouse on his birthday. The actress shared a snap of her co-star standing in the middle of a beautiful area surrounded by trees. In her caption, Reinhart thanked Sprouse for everything she’s shown her within the past year.
