Lindsay Lohan Could Face More Jail Time
Lindsay Lohan could be sentenced to some 18 months of jail time, if this week's court hearing decides the actress violated her probation, TMZ reports.
The 25-year-old's possible sentence is related to her absence from therapy sessions and not meeting community service standards as given by Judge Stephanie Sautner earlier this year.
Last week, TMZ reported that Lohan had been kicked out of a community service program because of several violations.
She had missed nine scheduled visits, and when she was at the L.A. Downtown Women's Center, she stayed for one hour instead of the minimum of four hours required by the judge. She has since been reassigned to a new community service program at the American Red Cross.
In April, Lohan was sentenced to 480 hours of community service following a case where she pleaded no contest to stealing a necklace from a jewelry store. To date, she has only completed 21 hours of service, a task that must be completed by next April, according to ABC News.
Despite talk of more jail time for Lohan on gossip blogs and celebrity Web sites alike, the Mean Girls actress has remained calm in the public eye.
I am not to be made an example of anymore. I am working hard and fulfilling my obligations every single day, to the court as well as myself . . . I'd appreciate it if people will just let me do what is asked of me, so I can get my life back. Please ignore the reports which have no truth to them. Thank you, Lohan wrote on Twitter on Friday.
Lohan has also been under fire recently for her alleged decaying teeth. Since appearing on the red carpet last Thursday for the premiere of Saints Row: The Third in L.A., the troubled star - and her teeth - have been on the front pages of several entertainment news sites.
Lindsay is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful women on the planet, and is regularly sought-after by some of the top photographers in the world to appear on covers of magazines around the globe . . . there are so many more important issues the media should be focusing on, Lohan's rep Steve Honig said last week.
Lohan is due in court on Wednesday morning.
