Lindsay Lohan On Drugs, Rehab, Sex and Sexuality: Her Candid Interview With Piers Morgan
Lindsay Lohan has begun her court-ordered stay in a rehabilitation center to avoid jail time for numerous probation violations, but that doesn’t mean she thinks she should be there.
The 26-year-old “Liz and Dick” actress sat down with British journalist Piers Morgan to discuss her rehab stint before the 90-day sentence started Friday, presumably at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
In the Daily Mail Saturday, Morgan described the troubled redhead as a “damaged, vulnerable young woman struggling to find normality in her often tormented life.”
According to the Hollywood starlet, she’s only done cocaine a handful of times and just so happened to get caught doing it half of those times.
“Everyone thinks I’ve done it so many times. But I’ve only done it maybe four or five times in my life,” she said, adding that it reminds her of her father Michael Lohan, who often has abused alcohol and cocaine.
“I’ve never taken heroin either, never injected myself with anything, never done LSD. Those things all scare me,” Lohan said.
But there are some things she’s done many times and isn’t ashamed to admit. “Pot, obviously. And ecstasy. I liked that better than the others,” she said, giggling. “I didn’t drink on it, so I was just chilling. It’s something that a lot of people experience when they’re in college. I just should have known that being in the public eye, someone was bound to say something or try to make some money off it.”
While the actress doesn’t see the experience she’ll have in rehab as a “bad thing,” she thinks it will serve little purpose, based on her previous rehab stints.
“I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times. I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab, it was like a joke, like killing time,” Lohan said.
The “Mean Girls” star even opened up about her sexuality, revealing she doesn’t identify as bisexual and called her high-profile relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson “toxic.”
“When I was with Samantha [Ronson], I didn’t want to leave, because I didn’t want to be alone. It was very toxic. And her family controlled anything she did,” Lohan said.
