Lindsay Lohan, Oprah Winfrey Interview: 'Are You An Addict?' [VIDEO]
Lindsay Lohan could be on the verge of a comeback. The troubled former child star has been in various kinds of trouble for years, but after an extended stay in rehab it seems the famous redhead might have finally gotten back on her feet. The starlet co-hosted “Chelsea Lately” Monday and now she has been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey for “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
It’s a big step for LiLo. Before going into rehab she ditched an interview with veteran journalist Barbara Walters and had a less-than-stellar performance in “Liz & Dick.” Despite everything she has been through, the 27-year-old Lohan is not ready to give up.
In a 15-second teaser Winfrey, in typical fashion, was not afraid to ask the Long Island native even the hardest questions. Point-blank Winfrey asked, “Are you an addict?” Lohan looks tense. She once proclaimed when speaking to CNN's Piers Morgan, according to Perez Hilton: “Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time.”
But Lohan seems to have changed after her seventh time in rehab. She looked refined for Winfrey interview, wearing her famous red locks tied back in a low-pony, natural-looking makeup (which is a change from the heavy-lined cat eyes she sported in the past) and a sophisticated orange dress with playful black-and-while polka dot heels.
According to the New York Daily News, Winfrey will ask “The Canyons” star about her experience in rehab after she completed a substance abuse program. "What does it feel like to be both an adjective and a verb for child-star-gone-wrong?" Winfrey continued, in the teaser.
Lohan doesn’t utter a word in the short teaser, but the clip sets up viewers to expect a profound conversation. The anticipated episode is set to air on OWN Aug. 18 at 9/8c. Check out what the Twitterati are saying about Lohan’s interview with the hashtag #LindsaysNextChapter.
