Lindsey Vonn Refuses To Marry Tiger Woods: Olympian Skier Says 'No, Thanks!'
Tiger Woods is not walking down the aisle again anytime soon, according to girlfriend Lindsey Vonn. The world famous alpine skier, who is in the latest issue of Vogue, tells the magazine that she has no plans of getting married.
“No, thanks! I am definitely not getting married. To anyone, “ the 28-year-old stated. She previously was married to her former coach Thomas Vonn. They married in 2007 after meeting in 2002 but filed for divorce in November 2011. It was finalized in January and Vonn began dating Woods in March.
When asked if she regrets being married, the Olympian replied, “Honestly, I wouldn’t take anything back, I wouldn’t change being married. It was good for me and I was happy for a period of time, and I learned a lot about myself.”
Woods confirmed his relationship with Vonn on Facebook in mid-March, saying, "This season has been great so far and I'm happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that's happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating.
We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes,” he continued.
They have since been seen publicly at various events, including Met Gala 2013. Vogue asked about how Vonn handles Woods’ celebrity status, and coyly replied, “Tiger’s fame is obviously in the extreme, the amount of scrutiny that he’s constantly under, but that’s the thing: It all comes back to being happy. It doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks; do what you love to do and be happy and that’s it.”
Woods was previously married to model Elin Nordegren. They divorced in 2010, after Woods admitted to cheating on her with numerous women.
