Linux to launch Linux based tablet, netbook
The Linux based open source hardware announced to launch a Linux based tablet/netbook with Touch Book OS.
The ARM based touch screen/tablet computer is not limited with one OS though it will come with OS is based on Angström Linux distribution. It’s possible to install many operating systems on it such as Ubuntu, Angstrom, and Windows CE including Google Android though not recommended by the company.
Some key features of the device is a detachable keyboard, magnetic back and offers a battery life up to 15 hours. It weighs less than two pounds.
Additionally, the device uses a low power OMAP3 ARM processor that requires no cooling fan.
The Touchbook is expected to hit counters on June of this year.
