Lionel Messi reportedly has named one player he wants out of Barcelona this summer.

In the past few weeks, Barcelona have been plagued with a number of controversies. The club is also believed to be working on massive transfer moves this summer. And captain Messi is one of the people reportedly involved in the organization’s decision-making.

President Josep Maria Bartomeu has claimed openly in the past that he is expecting a strange transfer window and that players may come in on a swap-basis. But in a recent report from Don Balon transcripted by Playing For 90, Messi has already had his say on who he wants to be involved in a transfer deals. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner reportedly wants to see right-back Nelson Semedo offered to Inter Milan in exchange for attacker Lautaro Martinez.

ESPN reported that the Catalan club has been preparing for a mass clear-out. Sources claimed that Messi, Frenkie de Jong and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen are the only players safe from the said clear-out and will not be sold in the off-season.

It also believed that the club will begin the clear-out in an attempt to raise funds for new prospects. The move is said to be Barcelona’s hunt for additional reinforcement following two new signings in Francisco Trincao and talented winger Pedri.

Head coach Quique Setién recently addressed the issues surrounding the civil war within Barcelona’s board members. Due to the behind-the-scenes drama, Messi has been rumored to be thinking of leaving the club. But According to Setién, the captain should not be worried about his future with Barcelona amid Barca's boardroom civil war. However, Setién also revealed that Messi might consider leaving the club for only one reason – If he will not be satisfied with the team’s winning gameplan.

"If Messi didn't have it clearly in his head that Barcelona have a winning project, maybe he would go, but Barcelona are always looking to have a winning project," Setién revealed.

Meanwhile, Spanish newspaper Sport via The Sun, reported how Manchester United and Arsenal are weighing up an offer to sign Barcelona’s Ousman Dembele.

Both clubs are reportedly investigating Dembele's alarming injury history to determine whether it is just because of bad luck, the club’s mismanagement of its players, or a more deep-rooted problem. Amid the transfer talks, Dembele may have already been preparing as he has reportedly contacted France colleague Anthony Martial to understand what life is like in England.
