Lisa Marie Presley's daughter, Riley Keough, is officially a mom.
During a memorial service for Presley at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, Sunday morning, Keough's husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, read a letter from his wife that revealed they welcomed a baby girl.
Smith-Petersen delivered the tribute on behalf of his wife, who was seated in the front row.
"I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters. Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I'm a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart," Smith-Petersen said, reading Keough's words, People reported.
Smith-Petersen, who has been married to 33-year-old Keough for eight years, did not elaborate further on any details, including their daughter's birth date or name.
A rep for Keough confirmed to People that they welcomed their daughter in 2022.
Keough is Lisa Marie's daughter with musician Danny Keough. The actress met Smith-Petersen when she was filming "Mad Max: Fury Road" in 2012. He was part of the stunt crew, and they were introduced on set.
Keough was in a relationship at the time. A year later, she was single and had to re-shoot in Australia. They reunited for the movie and fell in love.
Keough gushed over her husband in a 2022 essay for Vogue Australia, calling the Australian stuntman her "soulmate."
"I really did fall in love with my husband and also Australia in the same couple of weeks. I would love to live there, or have a place there, eventually. These are probably the most magical memories of my life," Keough wrote.
She continued, "My husband is such a good person. He's calm and loyal and strong and sensitive. He's my best friend. It's our ninth year together and we don't stop talking."
Keough and Smith-Petersen exchanged "I do's" at the Calistoga Ranch in California's Napa Valley in 2015. She revealed to Hello! magazine that it was "the most beautiful, amazing, fun day and night."
"We decided to see each other just before the ceremony so we could have a private moment," Smith-Petersen said. "Then, when I saw her walk in - for some reason, that was the hardest time for me not to cry."
Lisa Marie – the only child of the late Elvis Presley and his wife, Priscilla Presley – died on Jan. 12 after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital for a possible cardiac arrest. She was 54.
She is survived by her mother Priscilla, Keough and 14-year-old twins Finley and Harper. She was preceded in death by her son Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide at age 27 in 2020.
