Lisa Marie Presley’s Lawyer Claims Estranged Husband Michael Lockwood ‘Took Advantage Of Her’

Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley has filed for divorce from Michael Lockwood after a decade together. However, the real reason behind the separation involved the former Hollywood couple’s finances and their two daughters.

The revelation came from Presley’s lawyer Ronald Litz who shared in an interview with People magazine that the rock legend’s daughter has no intention to reconcile with Lockwood. Litz stated that his client is “done” with her ten-year marriage to her fourth husband. Presley’s lawyer also shared that the estranged couple “are not trying to work it out” so that they could get back together again.

Litz also revealed that although Presley cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split in her divorce filing, there were two major reasons behind the separation. The first involved Lockwood’s management of Presley’s assets. Litz explained that Lockwood “didn't do what he should have done on a fiduciary basis” while Presley’s estranged husband was managing her properties and finances during their marriage. The lawyer also claimed that Lockwood took advantage of Presley.

For the second reason, Presley’s lawyer stated that it involved the former Hollywood couple’s twin daughters, 7-year-old Harper Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love. Litz explained that there were allegedly some issues on Lockwood’s parenting skills. "There are some problems with him being a good father, in terms of what a father is supposed to do," the lawyer shared. Presley has already requested for full custody of her and Lockwood’s children.

The rock legend’s daughter has previously indicated that she is not interested in receiving money from her estranged music producer husband, E!News reported. She has also opted not to request for spousal or child support in her divorce filings.

Meanwhile, Presley married Lockwood in 2006 and was together for 10 years prior the split. Presley was also previously married to Danny Keough, Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage. She also has a son and daughter with Keough named Ben and actress Riley.
