Tori Roloff and husband Zach Roloff were looking forward to announcing that they were expecting baby no. 3, but they suffered a miscarriage before they could do so.
On Saturday, the "Little People, Big World" star shared the heartbreaking news on social media, along with a photo that featured flowers and a cross-stitch project showing Tori, her husband Zach and their two kids, Jackson, 3, and Lilah, 16 months. It also included a positive pregnancy test.
"We were so excited to share some exciting news this week. We were so excited when we found out we were expecting baby #3, and we couldn’t wait to share. We went in for our first ultrasound at 8 weeks and found out that we lost our sweet baby two weeks earlier," the 29-year-old reality star wrote on Instagram.
The TLC star continued, "I’ve honestly never felt loss like I did in that moment. I’ve never felt so sad, angry, and scared in a single moment. I had no symptoms of losing out sweet angel baby and nothing could have prepared me for hearing our sweet baby was gone. However, I also thought about how the first face our little girl or boy got to see was Jesus. I’m so upset that I never got to see their face but I rest in knowing he or she is with our savior and I will meet them one day."
Tori acknowledged the love and support she has received from her husband, who has been her "unwavering rock." She said Zach has been by her side throughout the ordeal and that she wouldn't have been able to make it without him.
Although Tori is still grieving and mourning over the loss, she is grateful that they still have "two happy healthy thriving kids." She also acknowledged the heartbreak parents go through after losing a child and said she is praying that those who have experienced the same "can all find peace that our babies are waiting for us in heaven and we will meet one day."
Tori decided to share the loss to let other moms who have gone through the same thing know that they are not alone.
She concluded the post with a verse from the Bible, which said, "For I hold you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God. And I say to you ‘don’t be afraid. I am here to help you’ - Isaiah 41:13."
Tori and Zach welcomed their second child, daughter Lilah, in November 2019, two years after welcoming son Jackson in 2017. The couple told Us Weekly in May 2019 that they wanted to have more children.
"I want a little pack," Zach said. "I would love four or five kids."
