Having been hit by many injuries this season, Liverpool FC finally have some good news this Christmas as three key players have returned to training ahead of their Premier League clash with West Brom on Sunday.

Liverpool will play two matches in a span of four days and the return of Thiago Alcantara, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri will boast Jurgen Klopp and Co's chances in the coming busy week.

"The trio joined their teammates at the Kirkby base, where Liverpool were building up for Sunday's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion. Thiago, Milner and Shaqiri have been recovering from respective injuries and participated in the latest workout for the reigning champions and table-toppers," read Liverpool's statement on the club's official website.

Liverpool have been without Alcantara since the Merseyside derby in October when he suffered an injury after a challenge from Everton forward Richarlison. Alcantara has struck only twice for Liverpool since his $35 million arrival from Bayern Munich to Anfield in summer. In the same match, Liverpool's key defender Virgil van Dijk suffered an ACL injury. Van Dijk went on to undergo surgery and is expected to be out for the season.
