  • Bowen has netted 12 goals this season
  • His market value curve is currently on the rise

Liverpool FC are "seriously interested" in signing West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen ahead of the 2022 summer window.

Bowen, who moved from Hull City to West Ham during the 2020 January market, is contracted with the Hammers until 2025.

"Maybe Jarrod Bowen is next on their radar and he's somebody they're seriously interested in," transfer insider Dean Jones told GiveMeSport. However, International Business Times could not verify it independently.

Liverpool's Premier League rivals Manchester City are also interested in securing Bowen, reported Italian media outlet Calciomercato. The report has further claimed that West Ham are currently negotiating a contract extension with Bowen.

West Ham bought Bowen at $24 million. But the English winger's market value of $39 million is currently on the rise, according to Transfermarkt.

The 25-year-old is having a fine run in the 2021-22 season. The winger has netted 12 goals and 11 assists in as many as 36 matches for West Ham across all competitions.

The offensive winger has contributed to 12 goals in West Ham's last 12 Premier League games: six goals and six assists. With 42 points in 26 matches, the London Stadium side is placed fifth in the Premier League table, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

Liverpool are chasing Bowen's signatures despite recently landing Porto's Luis Diaz. Their young playmaker Harvey Elliot has also regained full fitness. With Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane both out of contract in the summer of 2023, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly hoping to bolster his attacking department ahead of next season.

The Anfield side is placed second in the Premier League table with 57 points, six behind table-toppers City. However, Liverpool have a game in hand. While Klopp's side has triumphed in their last five league games, the reigning champions have managed only three wins in their previous five matches.
