Lizzo Celebrates Birthday By Popping Out Of Giant Cake; Makes A Special Wish [Photos]
Lizzo doesn't care much for birthday cards or gifts, she, instead, wants world peace. The singer celebrated her 34th birthday Wednesday and her special wish was to be in a world that is more peaceful.
In a series of photos she shared on her Instagram page Wednesday, the singer can be seen popping out of a massive birthday cake. She donned a pink outfit and completed her look with a huge pink wig. The cake had pink and golden decorations, while the singer wore a big silver ring on her right-hand finger.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZO!" she wrote to herself, before letting her 12.2 million Instagram followers know what her birthday wish was.
"I don't need no cards.. I don't need no gifts… just world peace… and for people to be kinder to themselves….. (AND FOR EVERYONE TO STREAM 'ABOUT DAMN TIME' AT LEAST TWICE)," she wrote. "Here's to another incredible year! Taurus season has officially begun!"
She also shared a video of her birthday cake. In the 20-second video, Lizzo can be seen coming out from the top of the cake and posing for the camera.
Lizzo used the occasion to announce her fourth studio album, titled "Special." Her upcoming project is slated to release on July 15.
"ITS MY BDAY!!!!" she wrote in the caption. "And this year I wanna give YOU a gift. Pre-save my album 'Special' and you've got a 2 day head-start on getting tickets for my tour!"
Lizzo confirmed last week that she was dating a "mystery" man.
"You were photographed in LA in February at Craig's with a mystery man, Are you guys still together?" host Andy Cohen asked her when she appeared on SiriusXM's "Radio Andy." And the singer replied, "Yeah, whatever, yeah."
"Is it hard to be you and dating a guy?" Cohen asked. "There's going to be a disparity. You're Lizzo, huge superstar, and that person is whoever that person is. Is that hard in the relationship?"
Lizzo replied, "If you have the right person, no. ...Not at all, it's not even a factor. It should be mutually supportive no matter what that person does."
