London building catches fire, roads temporarily blocked
Nearly 30 firefighters are fighting a blaze on the roof of a building in Central London. The London fire brigade arrived at the site of the building, which is under renovation, in London’s Aldwych area.
Roads have been blocked in the area as about six fire engines are attending the blaze.
The fire has sent smoke across London’s skyline and can be viewed from a distance. The A4 road in Aldwych was closed due to the fire, as well as the southbound traffic on Kingsway from High Holborn.
There was also some congestion on the northbound Waterloo Bridge and Strand eastbound, a BBC report said.
