Loren Gray has apologized for lipsyncing to racial slurs in her older TikTok videos.

The TikTok sensation took to Twitter on Friday to say that she made the "insensitive" videos when she was 13 years old.

"Every so often very insensitive videos of mine resurface of me using racial slurs in lipsyncs when I was 13. I’m not going to use my age as an excuse. There is no excuse," she wrote.

"All I can do is hope that my actions since then have proven that I’m not racist and never have been. Uneducated, yes. And that is my fault. I do not have a discriminatory bone in my body, and I am well aware of my privilege," she added.

Gray apologized for the videos saying, "I’ve made very insensitive videos in the past, and I’m very happy that the world is growing and educating people like me who were obvious to the impact words can have. I’m very sorry and again, take full accountability."

Gray also addressed to the controversial "Fox Eye" trend which people believed mocked the Asian ethnicity.

"That also goes for the 'fox eye' trend and anyone I’ve offended by using those poses. I was unaware of the history and I was made aware, I stopped," she wrote.

Her apology received positive response from social media users.

"I am not the right person to accept the apology since it doesn't affect me, but I think you took this situation better than most people did, the best thing you can do is educate more people, I send you my love," one person wrote.

"Well im black and this is the first apology ive seen and feel you are being genuine. And thank you for saying age is not an excuse because some people act like u aint know right from wrong by then. I forgive you," another person wrote.

"I’m not black but Asian so your apology about fox eye trend has something to do with me. I personally accept your apology since I’ve been a fan of you for years and know how sweet and kind you are. thank you for speaking up about your mistake," another user commented.
