Lori Harvey Talks About 'Self-Love' Months After Split From Michael B. Jordan

Lori Harvey has opened up about "self-love" months after her breakup with actor Michael B. Jordan.

"This moment is about me," the 25-year-old model told Essence magazine Monday. "I feel like it's always been [about] me attached to something or someone. This time, it's about me. Self-love, self-care, self-reflection. I'm being a little self-ish right now. It's my time."

Lori went on to share that she knows her "worth" and "value," noting that she is not going to "compromise that or settle, or accept anything less" than what she deserves.

The model further said that right now, she is at a point in her life where she is not going to compromise her "peace and happiness for anything or anybody."

Lori and Jordan were first rumored to be dating in November 2020. They confirmed their relationship via Instagram in January 2021.

Steve Harvey also shared his thoughts on Jordan dating his daughter.

"I like this one. I still got my eye on him," the 65-year-old television host said on "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" in January last year. "I mean, I like him, but like I say to all of 'em, 'I might like you, I might approve of you, but I got a thumb-size section of my heart filled with nothing but pure hatred for your a--. Just in case I need it."

Jordan and Lori called it quits in June this year after dating for more than a year.

In her Essence interview, Lori also said she's a young woman who is trying to figure out her life in the public eye.

"But what I would love for people to know is that I am a young woman just trying to figure it out, but I'm trying to figure it out in the public eye," she said. "Love yourself. Put yourself on the highest pedestal, and don't ever come down."

It was not the first time Loi spoke about her relationships and love life. She said on the "Luv2SeeIt" series in August that she "almost got married very young."

"I felt like I hadn't really experienced anything," she explained. "I didn't really know myself, I didn't really know what I liked, what I didn't like. I just feel like I hadn't really experienced life."

At the time, she also talked about her desire to date on her own terms.
