Louis Tomlinson, Briana Jungwirth Update: One Direction Star Breaks Twitter Silence After Baby News
One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has spoken. Two days after news broke that he’s going to be a father, the British boy band singer took to Twitter. But he didn’t write the statement that some people thought he would.
“Amazing show! Thank you for the support!!” he wrote. The tweet was shared nearly 100,000 times and received almost 150,000 likes from his 19.9 million followers.
The other members of 1D are excited that Tomlinson, 23, is going to be a father. “Harry, Niall and Liam are all completely thrilled about Louis’ baby news and can’t wait to be the fun ‘uncles,’ ” a source told Hollywood Life in an exclusive report Thursday. “They plan on treating that kid like he or she is their very own.”
Someone who isn’t thrilled is Tomlinson’s ex-girlfriend, Eleanor Calder, whom he broke up with in March. “It’s not like they had been broken up for long!” the insider told Hollywood Life. “This is not the kind of news any ex-girlfriend wants to hear, especially when you dated someone for so long and then the next person who comes along ends up getting pregnant.”
Jungwirth has remained quiet since People magazine broke the pregnancy news Tuesday, but the Daily Mail wrote she has been experiencing morning sickness and loss of appetite. Be wary of any Twitter statements that seemingly come from Jungwirth: Dozens of phony accounts were created after the pregnancy news broke.
Even though the pregnancy news was a surprise, Tomlinson is ecstatic about it. “Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother. It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer,” a source told People. The baby will arrive early next year, the anonymous friend said.
