‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Star Tommie Lee Hopes Quitting VH1 Series Will ‘Humble’ Her
After stating that she would be quitting “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” following Season 6 in an Instagram Live video, it looks like VH1 star Tommie Lee is sticking by her decision and is hoping for a positive outcome in her post-reality television career.
On Thursday, the reality star shared a video of herself on Instagram looking relaxed and carefree. “Scary whenever I close my eyes at night waking up to public statements about my private life.... maybe getting back to my regular life will humble me,” she captioned the video.

Tommie’s decision to quit the show came on Wednesday when she made an Instagram Live video announcing that Season 6 would be her last appearance on the VH1 series. The reality star explained that she has been through a lot of drama since coming onto the show which included her being arrested and having to pay a $5,000 bail.
Tommie explained that she has come to the conclusion that she no longer wants to be on the reality show anymore. “To everybody that’s been watching me, to everyone that love the kid and all of that, I will not be continuing on to the next season,” she said.
Tommie went on to say that she isn’t the type of person to allow someone to say that they gave her what she has and let that person tear her family apart. The star also stated that she will be “great” no matter what. “I bow out gracefully and I’m good,” she said.
Although she did not mention anyone by name, it is assumed that Tommie was talking about her “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” co-star Karen King, who is also known as KK.
The two engaged in a social media feud following the airing of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” Season 6, episode 10 when KK attempted to help Tommie and her mother reconcile. During the meeting, KK made comments about Tommie and her mother’s drinking problems which sent Tommie into a rage upon seeing the episode.
In the Instagram Live video, Tommie called KK out for slamming her and her mother’s habits even though she has indulged in drinking alcohol with them on several occasions.
The reality star went on to explain how she couldn’t believe KK, who she considered family, could be so fake to her. KK and Tommie became close when Tommie began dating her son Scrapp Deleon.
Although the couple later broke up, the two remained friends and Tommie considered KK a second mother. A majority of Tommie’s time on the VH1 series has been spent fighting and arguing with other cast members while trying to deal with her own personal issues.
The star’s decision to quit the show seems like her first step in taking back control of her life and attempting to fix things without cameras rolling.
Although an official announcement has not been made about Tommie’s exit from the reality series, fans can still catch her on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” Season 6 on Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on VH1.
