‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Star Waka Flocka Flame Opens Up About Split From Tammy Rivera
Rapper Waka Flocka Flame seems to have regrets about how much he hurt his estranged wife, Tammy Rivera. In an Instagram post to a fan Waka opened up about their split, writing that he hopes to become a better husband to her.
According to the Shade Room, a fan commented on one of Waka’s Instagram pictures asking the rapper whether their breakup was a result of cheating on his part. The “Game On” rapper lashed out at the fan but also confirmed that he “wasn’t faithful.” He posted: “I regret everything I’ve done to Tammy. I pray the most high give me strength to be a better husband and role model.”
Tammy and Waka, who star on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” announced this month that they had separated after two years of marriage. At the time, both Tammy and the 30-year-old entertainer denied the breakup had anything to do with cheating.
“Me and #Tammy #LOVE was and is real and that’s what these H--- made [sic] at,” he posted on Instagram (via VH1.com). “Somethings just ain’t forever I guess or Now. Side Note… You h--- wasn’t the reason know that!!!” Waka then released a video saying that he and Tammy simply grew apart. “Me and Tammy just split apart. Nobody cheated on nobody, nobody’s mad at nobody.”
Tammy also addressed their breakup, writing on her Instagram page Waka didn’t leave her for another woman. Tammy said the split was a decision they both agreed on. “Y’all listen and please listen clear! I will not speak on this situation again… Me and Waka separation had nothing to do with ANYONE! Waka did not leave me for ANYONE lol. We made a mutual decision that we needed to separate, Sometime ppl use other’s people’s lives to prey off and get attention, I guess for IG likes or followers. It’s very sad but it’s the truth and the world we live in… Waka is a Great man and father to my child, we all make mistakes and learn from them. BUT PLEASE don’t listen to these attention seekers. Just pray for them!!”
