‘Love & Hip Hop’ Couple Ray J, Princess Love Expecting First Baby
Singer-songwriter Ray J and wife Princess Love are entering parenthood soon. The “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” stars revealed early this week that they are expecting their first child together.
On Monday, Love proudly shared the good news to her followers on Instagram by posting a snap of her growing baby bump. “It’s such a blessing from God to be able to carry our child,” she captioned her post. “We’re so proud to share this journey with you guys. Thank you for all of the love and prayers.”
Princess Love also revealed why it took her three months to finally break the pregnancy news. “We kept this to ourselves until after the first trimester because it’s bad luck to announce too early,” she explained.
Princess Love’s followers quickly flooded her Instagram post with congratulatory messages. “I’m so happy for you and Ray. I know this has been a long journey but the wait is over! May God continue to Bless you both with true happiness and a healthy bundle of joy,” one wrote. “Massive Congratulations to you both,” another commented.
Ray J also confirmed the baby news when he appeared on “The Real” and talked about expanding his family, as per ET Online. “Princess and I, we’re expecting,” he told the hosts. “I’m nervous, excited… it finally happened. My first one.”
Kim Kardashian’s ex admitted that they have yet to learn the gender of their first baby, but he is hoping for it to be a girl. “Because it’s like, Daddy’s little girl,” he said. “The little boy is going to probably be a little aggressive, so I wanna be able to have some peace first. Bring the peaceful side in and then bring the boy in.”
Ray J also confessed that it’s been awhile since they worked on getting pregnant, so they are thankful that it’s finally here. “It was special, because we was tryin’ for awhile. It’s not as easy as people think. Some people go on tour and get everybody pregnant. But for me, it was love and we took our time.”
Ray J and Princess Love walked the aisle at the Vibiana in Los Angeles in August 2016, according to People. In the most recent season of their VH1 series, they documented their struggles to get pregnant.
